Make platform tents, lake time and new friends part of everyday life for two weeks.
Sloane’s defining feature is platform-tent living in Lakeville, Connecticut. Campers share a tent group with peers and counselors, with villages organized by rising grade. They choose preferences before arrival and follow multi-day electives, from paddling and climbing to outdoor cooking and songwriting. Families staying locally can use day camp, while older campers can explore LEAD and eligible campers can choose the riding specialty.
Paddlemaster combines canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding. Sailing and rowing are available from grade 6; swimming follows the Swim Quest assessment.
Climbing & outdoor skills
Climbing, campfire cooking, shelter-building and outdoor exploration bring practical skills into the wooded setting.
Songs, dance & cooking
Guitar and songwriting, choir, improv, dance and cooking add performance and hands-on creativity.
Riding specialty & lessons
Riding Camp provides a more concentrated experience; optional English riding lessons combine horse care with riding skills.
Teen LEAD
Entering grade 11 campers can join two-week LEAD, combining camp life and leadership development; ask about associated lifeguard training.
