Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies, Summer Programs for High School Students
Georgetown University’s own summer Academy program
Georgetown University Certificate of Participation after successful completion
Discuss how the international system works and how states use foreign-policy tools.
Compare legal, ethical and philosophical approaches to international questions.
Explore subjects including nuclear weapons, terrorism, the environment, global health and development.
Practice analysis and communication through a crisis simulation and small-group interaction.
Hear from international-relations specialists and practitioners, with discussion and experiential learning.
Weekday academic programming may extend into the evening, including lectures, activities and a capstone.
Choose residential or commuter participation; resident counselors support students in the residence halls.
The Academy does not require TOEFL, but strong English comprehension, discussion and writing skills are needed. It is noncredit; admission alone does not reserve a place, which requires registration and payment.
Contact an advisor for 2027 tuition, refund rules and registration deadlines.
International students may apply; noncredit Academies do not provide visa assistance or F-1 support, so entry requirements must be confirmed independently.
Application requires a 300–500-word personal statement and a school-official review, with academic eligibility checked.
Arrange required health insurance, complete pre-arrival forms and follow campus-leave and curfew rules.
Commuter families arrange accommodation and daily travel; residential students need to manage laundry, sleep and other personal routines.
Discuss this camp and participation arrangements with an ASCWORLD education adviser.
