Pottery wheels, stone polishing, jewelry, weaving and printmaking turn ideas into tangible projects.
Sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, waterskiing and swim instruction provide different ways onto the lake.
First Session produces a musical and Second Session a talent show. WOW adds tabletop quests, costumes, props and live-action storytelling.
Extra-cost English riding serves beginners and intermediate riders; outdoor options include animal care, gardening, wilderness skills and camping.
Choosing activities brings responsibility for one’s schedule and opportunities to connect across age groups.
Cabins have electricity, showers, toilets, opening windows, exhaust fans and heaters for cooler Northern Michigan nights.
On-site social workers meet with senior staff and counselors about camper adjustment and encourage campers to share feedback.
Mini I, Mini II, Two Weeks Second Session and Mini Mini have different grade limits. LIT and Counselor Assistant require prior Walden experience and director permission. Confirm individual support and allergy arrangements.

Communication: routine contact uses letters and paid one-way email. Campers normally do not call home, with birthday calls possible; directors contact parents when needed.
