An Episcopal Christian camp combining a mountain lake, blacksmithing and outdoor challenges, with shorter stays and teen pathways.
In the Blue Ridge Mountains near Hendersonville, Camp Kanuga combines core cabin-group activities with daily choice periods. Making, naturalist exploration and mountain adventure all feature. Starter offers six days for rising grades 2–4; older teens can explore the Trailblazers wilderness program or Leadership Academy.

Starter campers remain with their cabin group during the day and join wider camp programs in the evening.
Screened wooden cabins have bunk beds and their own bathrooms, usually housing 10–12 campers with two counselors.

Affiliated with the Episcopal Church, with worship, Sunday Shine and Eucharist in camp life; all faiths are welcome. Trailblazers includes multi-day wilderness hiking and needs separate fitness, equipment and support review.

Tuition includes residential living, instruction and equipment, in-camp health care and session laundry arrangements. Airport transfers cost extra; confirm 2027 charges.
April 1, 2027 is the full-payment and main cancellation deadline. Earlier cancellations lose the non-refundable deposit; later cancellations generally receive no refund, with a documented medical-credit provision.
Travel: families arrange arrival and departure; flying campers may request AVL or GSP transfers and must confirm the 2027 flight windows.
Contact and care: family communication is primarily by post, with electronic devices left at home; camp nurses manage health and medication routines.
International and consecutive stays: confirm language support and individual international eligibility. Campers attending two consecutive sessions may request a paid Stayover; a maximum of two sessions is requested.
