Camp Balcones Springs

A Christian residential camp alternating skill-focused majors with cabin-group activities, including watersports and creative projects.

Set in the hills near Marble Falls, Camp Balcones Springs serves boys and girls. Campers who have completed third grade choose skill-building majors, while younger Travelers rotate through experiences with counselors. The program welcomes families of different faiths while retaining an explicitly Christian daily and Sunday framework.

Courses & activities

Skill-building majors

Majors such as archery, basketball, soccer and tennis allow repeated practice across a session.

Creative projects

Ceramics, cooking, jewelry, painting and woodworking give campers several practical creative choices.

Cabin-group challenges

Minor periods bring cabinmates together for ropes challenges, paddleboarding, swimming and group games.

Riding and wakeboarding

These two special programs carry additional fees and should be arranged before camp begins.

Younger Travelers follow supported rotations; older campers alternate chosen majors and cabin activities.

Air-conditioned cabins

Air-conditioned cabins and chef-prepared meals provide a settled home base between outdoor activities.

Three-week creative tradition

Term 3 includes cabin-made music videos and an opportunity to change majors halfway through.

Deposit: USD 500. Tuition includes a camp-store allowance; card payments add 3%. Riding and wakeboarding are extra, with charges to confirm.

Balance is due April 15, 2027. Cancellations must be written; refunds decline as camp approaches and stop within 14 days. Deposits are non-refundable after January 31, 2027, with a one-time rollover option.

Travel & participation

Cabins and meals: air-conditioned shared cabins; confirm allergy, dietary and medication arrangements in advance.

International families: an International Liaison supports international campers and staff. Confirm individual language needs, travel documents and transfers separately.

Session choice: short programs are limited to K–4 or K–5. Space must be confirmed for the specific session and camper.
