A riverside boys’ camp with individual activity schedules, age-specific challenges, riding and outdoor skills.
Camp La Junta sits beside the Guadalupe River in Hunt. Grade-based divisions include Wranglers, Cowboys, Tophands and Advanced Campers. Boys share cabins with peers but receive individual daytime schedules based on age, ability and ten activity preferences. Personal progress is complemented by participation in the camp’s traditional Ranch teams.

Arena instruction progresses toward hill-country and riverside trails; horseback riding is limited to four-week campers.
Cowboys tackle climbing and team challenges; Tophands may choose the higher-adventure Tophand Extreme program.
Sailing serves grades 6–7; kayaking serves grades 4–7 and requires swimming proficiency and life jackets.
Younger campers explore navigation, fire-making and outdoor cooking; court sports include basketball, tennis and pickleball.
Each boy lists ten preferences; age and experience guide a schedule that extends beyond his cabin group.
Cabin placement follows school grade, with roommate requests subject to camp assignment.
Regular two-week sessions stop at grade 5; four-week sessions extend to grade 8 and include access to riding.
Boys only. Riding is restricted to four-week campers; sailing, kayaking and adventure activities have grade or skill prerequisites. International eligibility, language support and transfers need confirmation.
Tuition includes laundry, activity supplies, special trips and snacks; no required uniform. Deposit: USD 500, refundable until February 1, 2027; full tuition is due April 1, 2027.

Accommodation: grade-based cabins, with activities bringing campers together in different groups within their age division.
Health: the camp describes nurse-managed medication records and counselor attention to special diets. Discuss any additional care requirements before applying.
