Camp Stewart for Boys

A boys’ camp combining riding, outdoor adventure and older-camper specialties with personal skill progression and cabin life.

Camp Stewart for Boys operates in Hunt’s hill-country and river setting. Younger boys rotate through activities with their cabin group, while Condors aged 13–16 can specialize in Campmaster, Ranchman, Outdoorsman or Sportsman. Camp life follows Christian values and includes a Sunday all-faith worship gathering.

Courses & activities

Progressive horsemanship

Riding ranges from foundations to English jumping and polocrosse, with advanced participation based on demonstrated skill.

Climbing and target sports

Climbing, rappelling, archery and riflery provide structured practice in focus, control and progressive challenge.

Waterfront and creative arts

Swimming, canoeing and ceramics balance active recreation with hands-on making.

Condor specialties

Ages 13–16 choose equestrian/ranch, outdoor, sports or broad camp routes; the equestrian specialty requires basic riding ability.

The Advancement Trail organizes skill and character goals into successive levels earned through practice.

Age divisions

Divisions run from Ravens through Condors, with older boys also grouped by chosen specialty.

Traditional cabin routines

Campers take part in cabin inspection routines; nursing and medication arrangements support a device-restricted stay.

Tuition covers standard activities, laundry, linen service, yearbook and usual materials. Travel, uniforms and personal items are extra; Chief project materials may incur additional costs.

Deposits are 80% refundable before March 1, 2027 and non-refundable afterward, with a one-year carry-forward option. Withdrawal for homesickness, misconduct or adjustment issues receives no refund.

Travel & participation

Accommodation: cabins are organized by age or specialty, with daily tidying responsibilities and on-site nursing support.

Travel: the camp lists charter buses from major Texas cities, driving and air travel; confirm 2027 pickup points, flight connections and charges.

International families: official guidance addresses holding uniforms at camp and towel rental for overseas campers. Confirm individual eligibility, language needs and travel plans.
