Camp Menominee for Boys

A Wisconsin lakeside boys’ camp known for sports instruction and team competition, with waterskiing, journalism, video and music alongside.

On Sand Lake in Eagle River, Camp Menominee lets boys choose interests within a structured day. Big Ten instruction and team leagues sit alongside waterfront recreation and creative media. Rookie campers share cabins and regular activities with longer-stay campers, joining the same daily community.

Courses & activities

Sports instruction and leagues

Basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, hockey and golf instruction can feed into team games and sportsmanship practice.

Waterskiing and lake activities

A skill-based waterskiing program starts with two skis; sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and swimming add variety.

Journalism and media production

Campers report for the Menominee Megaphone and can learn photography, video editing and podcasting using camp equipment.

Making and rock band

Drawing, model rockets, woodworking and rock-band performances create room for makers and aspiring performers.

Camper Fund covers specified spending, trips, ground transport (not flights), laundry and keepsake materials; additional personal spending may be billed.

Application deposit: USD 1,000; card payments add 3.5%. Deposits become non-refundable November 1, 2026, and all fees are due May 1, 2027. Confirm remaining cancellation terms.

Travel & participation

Travel: current guidance offers Chicago-area coaches, family driving and out-of-state flight arrangements. Confirm 2027 pickup points, flight windows and minor-travel connections.

Care: the camp has a health center and nursing staff, with prescribed medication-packaging procedures. International families should confirm the 2027 documentation and process.

International and daily life: the camp describes international participation. Discuss language support, age eligibility and diet before applying; counselors share cabins with campers.
