Overview

This South Bay preschool uses play to support language, social and physical development. Teachers observe and guide children as they express ideas, solve small problems and build confidence.

The setting grew from a parent-participation approach and adapted its provision to changing family needs. Communication between home and teachers remains important.

Peer relationships and gradual preparation for school run through daily life. Children practise cooperation, empathy and resolving everyday disagreements. Teacher guidance supports self-regulation alongside exploration through play.

Curriculum

Younger children encounter group routines through stories, songs and guided play. Older children add letters, sounds, early mathematics and science. Pretend play supports language, while blocks and sensory materials invite sorting, building and comparison. Art and outdoor movement support motor development.
