DPCS School

Hemet, California

A small-school setting that combines individual attention, clear learning habits and practical experiences.

Outdoor literacy and hands-on practice

School introduction

DPCS School began in Hemet in 2015 with sixteen students, initially teaching Kindergarten through Grade 5 before adding further grades. Small classes and individual attention remain central to its approach, with teachers considering children’s emotional, social and physical development alongside their academic work.

Classroom learning is supported by sports, performances, family activities and field trips that create opportunities to communicate and cooperate. Clear expectations for behavior, responsibility and family involvement are part of the school culture, helping students develop more independent learning habits as they grow.

Curriculum

Teaching progresses from grade-based classes in the younger years toward subject-specialist instruction. Mathematics from Grade 5 upward is assigned to a specialist teacher. From Grade 7 onward, the faculty includes English language arts and science teaching; the published assignments also include history and foreign-language instruction for Grades 7–11. Textbooks, mathematics placement and electives depend on the student’s grade and class.

Practical learning extends beyond the classroom. The school’s autumn 2026 science camp for Grades 5–8 links outdoor observation with topics such as water systems, insects, birds and team challenges. Dance, sports and family painting activities add other ways to participate. Contact an advisor about the timetable, activities and participation requirements for a short-term stay.

  • Bible study is taught in every grade, and Christian perspectives are integrated into academic teaching. Contact an advisor about arrangements for short-term students.
