HCS School
Mission Viejo / Lake Forest, California
Regular classroom learning combines academics, arts and physical activity with opportunities to build communication skills.
School introduction
HCS School serves different age groups across two campuses: elementary in Mission Viejo, and junior high and high school in Lake Forest. Its program combines core academic learning, artistic expression and physical activity, with attention to academic, physical, emotional and social development.
International pupils join regular classes with local classmates. A smaller teaching setting supports attention to individual learning needs and gives students opportunities to develop English communication through everyday classroom interaction.
Curriculum
Elementary learning covers English reading and writing, phonics, mathematics, history and science, complemented by art, music, PE, Spanish and technology. The program develops foundational skills while offering different forms of learning and expression through creative and physical activities.
Secondary study spans English, mathematics, science, history, languages, arts and PE. High-school English develops literary understanding, analysis and writing, while mathematics progresses from foundational concepts into algebra and geometry. Contact an advisor about short-term timetables, activities and participation requirements.
