CCS School
Orange, California
Connect literacy, scientific observation and coding within everyday school life.
School introduction
CCS has served its community since 1985. Beginning with K–4, it later added middle school, preschool, academic coaching and enrichment. Small-group interaction and partnership with families support each child’s pace of development and confidence in learning.
Its approach connects foundational subjects with practical experiences. Reading, science, the arts and team activities develop communication, cooperation and responsibility. Academic coaching and student leadership also provide support and opportunities to take initiative.
Curriculum
The regular K–5 programme includes language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, life skills and PE, with weekly Spanish, visual arts and music enrichment. Reading feedback and an online library support literacy; science-lab work uses observation, demonstrations and hands-on experiments.
Grades 6–8 continue language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and PE, alongside Spanish, art, life skills and study skills. Coding and robotics are integrated into mathematics and science, using small robots and coding platforms to practise instructions, logic and problem-solving.
The school’s cross-cultural classroom approach brings visiting and local students into shared daily learning. Contact an advisor for current grade-level timetables, enrichment choices and short-term participation.
- The school’s description of short-term visits explicitly includes daily Bible lessons and weekly chapel. Contact an advisor for the specific timetable and participation arrangements.
