A preschool experience
in the United States.

THE ENVIRONMENT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

An American-style curriculum
isn’t the same as
going to preschool in the U.S.

An American-style curriculum can be taught anywhere. Attending preschool in the U.S. also gives children everyday contact with local teachers, classmates and community life.

01

English throughout the day

In an English-speaking preschool, greetings, snack time, tidying up, asking for help and playing all create reasons to listen and speak.

02

Conversation with peers

Joining a game, borrowing crayons or sharing a discovery gives children a real reason to communicate and opportunities to try again.

03

Culture in ordinary moments

Taking turns, working together, sharing feelings and respecting different habits become part of daily interaction, with libraries and community life to explore after school.

04

See how teachers guide learning

School matching considers early-childhood teaching experience, interaction with children, the language environment and support for newcomers.

SMALL MOMENTS, EVERY DAY

Everyday moments. Meaningful language.

Stories, hands-on exploration and play give children something to talk about and a reason to join in.

TIME TO SETTLE IN
2–3months

Give your child time
to feel at home.

Early childhood offers valuable opportunities for language learning through interaction. A two-to-three-month stay allows more time to get to know teachers, settle into routines and connect with other children.

  1. 01

    Feel comfortable

Start with the teacher, classroom and routines, with support from both family and school.

  2. 02

    Hear, try and repeat

Repeated greetings, instructions, songs and games create opportunities to understand and try new expressions.

  3. 03

    Find a reason to communicate

Encourage choices, discoveries and cooperation around familiar peers and activities your child enjoys.

These are planning goals, not fixed milestones. Adjustment and language progress vary, and continued exposure after returning home matters.

A FAMILY EXPERIENCE

English classes for you.
School for your child.

BEFORE YOUR CHILD STARTS

Questions before your child starts.

Can we explore preschool if my child is new to English?

We can explore options based on age, previous preschool experience and the school’s support for children new to English. Familiar daily phrases can help with preparation; family and teachers should monitor adjustment together.

Is a two-to-three-month stay required?

Two to three months is the suggested experience on this page. Shorter or longer stays depend on your dates, school policy and available places.

Does a parent need to travel with the child?

This experience is planned as a family stay. Parents remain responsible for care outside school and daily transport. Any in-class settling-in support follows the school’s policy.

What documents and fees should we plan for?

We first review age, status and travel plans, then the school’s application, health and immunization requirements. Your proposal will distinguish tuition, registration and any meal, extended-care or materials charges.

Can a parent study English while the child attends preschool?

We can explore ESL alongside preschool, considering your English level, both timetables, locations and pick-up times. Preschool can also be arranged independently.
